Gerber File Preparation Guide
Keep board fabrication data complete, consistent and easy to identify.
What to include
Provide copper, solder mask, silkscreen and outline layers as applicable, with the corresponding drill data. Include a drawing for dimensions and requirements not expressed in the layer files.
Revision and naming
Use one revision identifier across the archive and drawings. Remove obsolete versions and clearly identify layer order and units.
Before release
Check the export in a viewer, compare the board outline and drill alignment, and ensure assembly documentation refers to the same revision.
